To mark the 25th anniversary of the joint plan, the Fédération des producteurs acéricoles du Québec is organizing the first ever International Maple Symposium, on November 20 and 21 at the Quebec City Convention Centre. The federation is inviting world-class speakers, who will address a wide array of topics, including the challenges of maple business succession, product quality and authenticity, innovation and production— especially with respect to birch and maple water—and prospects for growth in the maple industry.
The symposium, held under the honorary patronage of François Roberge, maple producer and CEO of Boutique La Vie en Rose Inc., is a must-attend event for producers and industry players who want to keep up-to-date on the latest developments in the maple industry.
Concurrently with the symposium, aimed mainly at industry professionals, the federation is organizing the Downtown Maple Show (Érable en ville), a trade show for producers, people in the industry, and the general public. The trade show will also be held at the Quebec City Convention Centre.
The federation has hired AGC Communications Inc. to help organize the symposium and trade show. Founded by a member of the agrifood industry, the agency is well acquainted with producers’ needs and expectations and is going all out to put together a memorable event.
